March has long been described as ‘in like a lion, out like a lamb’ due to the weather instability at the beginning of the month, and the relative calm on spring’s appearance at the end. The final weeks of Jesus’ life were the exact opposite. Join the Crossroads Family for a very special series titled, IN LIKE A LAMB, OUT LIKE A LION! and rediscover the Precious Lamb of God Who is also the Lion of Judah.

This week – Actor Sean Connery portrayed King Richard for two minutes in the 1991 movie, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and was paid $450,000 for two minutes work (which he donated to charity.) The actual Richard was King of England from 1189-1199. He was also known as “Richard The Lionheart” (did you notice Connery’s costume?), and there is a plaque of him uniting Robin Hood and Maid Marian on the castle wall in Nottingham. “The Lionheart”…what a great title, one he’s still known for nearly 1,000 years later.
But for the “Lion of Judah” (Rev. 5:5), His crucifixion was only five days away – five days before The Lamb of God was “led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so He never opened His mouth.” (Isaiah 53:7).
Until His final tortuous hours, however, Jesus remained THE LION! And, we see The Lion in Full Force and Power when He returned to the Old City the very next day…
